King of Wands

A birth chart written as a record. Twelve tracks, one to each house of the horoscope, taken in order from the first to the twelfth, so the sequence walks the wheel exactly as an astrologer reads it: self, resources, communication, home, joy, work, partnership, depth, philosophy, vocation, community, and the hidden. Each track also carries the sign whose natural rulership that house shares, so the two halves of Western astrology are heard against one another rather than separately. A thirteenth track stands outside the wheel and turns the whole map inward.

A record about tuning the inner signal. The organising idea is frequency itself: every thought and action broadcasts a vibration and receives one back, so the work is calibration rather than conquest. Thirteen tracks move through the surrender of control, the reframing of perception, the guarding of personal energy and the discipline of desire. Four solfeggio tones anchor the record at album level, 528, 639, 741 and 963 Hz, part of a modern twentieth-century revival system that assigns pitches to the chakras, and individual tracks pick up the centres those tones name.

Twelve animals and a herald. The record retells the legend by which the Jade Emperor fixed the order of the Chinese zodiac: a race across a river whose finishing order became the twelve-year cycle. The running order is the finishing order reversed, from Pig in twelfth place through to Rat in first, so the album counts down to the winner instead of up from it. Each track is given to the animal whose temperament it embodies, from the Ox carrying weight the long honest way to the Dragon who breaks off to bring rain rather than win.

An arc in thirteen tracks from craving to commitment. The record is built on a single spectrum with Lust at one end, the disordered appetite the tradition sets against Chastity, and Charity at the other, caritas, the free giving of self for the good of another. Venus governs the whole span as the principle of attraction and of what we find worth having, and the destination is The Lovers, Trump VI, whose real subject is not romance but choice. The songs walk that distance in order, from chemistry and swipe culture through boundaries and mistimings to a union chosen again each day.

Life worked out as arithmetic. Thirteen tracks give a character to each numerological vibration: the nine single digits in order from the pioneering one to the completing nine, a track for the turn of the wheel where the count resets, and then the three master numbers, eleven, twenty-two and thirty-three, which numerology never reduces. Every song is titled for the role its number is held to produce, so the record can be read straight through as the Pythagorean life-path system set out in sequence, from the leader who begins to the teacher whose mastery reopens the cycle.

Sacred geometry treated as source code. Thirteen tracks run a construction sequence in order: the dimensionless point, the six arcs that close into a circle, the vesica piscis where one becomes two, the seven-circle Seed of Life, the Flower, the thirteen circles of the Fruit, and the lines joining those centres into Metatron's Cube, at which point the five Platonic solids fall out as the elements. The last three tracks step outside the compass work entirely: the golden spiral, the observer who collapses possibility into form, and a return to the point the record opened with.

A study record. At album level it carries five of the disciplines this Atlas is built from, Western astrology, numerology, tarot, Kabbalah and sacred geometry, and treats the pursuit of knowledge itself as the path of growth. The thirteen tracks work the same idea in conduct rather than in system: gratitude, selfless service, non-harming speech, accountability, endurance under pressure, and the breaking of an inherited cycle. The disciplines name what the record studies. The songs name what studying does to the student.

Stillness as a destination. The record gathers the practices that quiet the mind until what remains is simply true: meditation, the sustained training of attention; astral projection, the deliberate loosening of awareness from the body; tantra, which works with the currents of subtle energy rather than against them; and scrying, the gazing practice in which the ordinary mind is stilled so that images may rise. Thirteen tracks turn those into positions a person can hold, knowing over thinking, what is over what if, humility, and the willingness to sit with discomfort.

The self-titled statement, named for the court card that names the project. The King of Wands is the outward, commanding mastery of Fire, throned among lions and salamanders with a flowering wand in hand: visionary, entrepreneurial and bold, with arrogance and impulse as the shadow he has to rule. The twelve tracks move from living numbly on autopilot through the shock of awakening and the meeting with the shadow, into self-knowledge and the title track, and then out into love, arriving at a pair of answer songs and a closing piece of arithmetic.

Unreleased. A self-mastery cycle on ruling the inner kingdom. Thirteen tracks work the theme as governance: mental discipline that declines to answer every intrusive thought, self-worth that does not wait on approval, boundaries that let generosity survive, presence, integrity held under pressure, and finally self-sovereignty itself. The record carries no album-level correspondence. The mapping sits on the songs, which draw on mindfulness, temperance, diligence, prudence and the crown, the centre of unity and of the surrender of ego to something larger.

Unreleased. Thirteen tracks, each personifying a substance or an altered state as a woman, and each following the same shape: the rumour, the peak, and the morning after. The record sits mostly outside the Atlas by design, since what it describes is pharmacology rather than correspondence. Only two tracks touch esoteric ground: Belle, an earth-based plant medicine filed under shamanism, the practice of entering altered states to meet a spirit world; and Kitty, a dissociative filed under astral projection, awareness stepping outside the body to watch from a distance.

Unreleased. Twenty-two tracks, one for each trump of the Major Arcana, taken in order from The Fool at zero to The World at twenty-one. Every track is sung in the voice of its own card, and each is built as a complete reading: an opening statement, a section addressed to the querent when the card falls upright, and a section for the same card badly met. The running order is the Fool's journey itself, the soul going out from pure potential through will, intuition, authority, tradition and choice, then through mastery, solitude, fortune, reckoning, suspension and transformation, and on past bondage, collapse, hope, dream and daylight to a final summons and the World.

Unreleased. Thirteen tracks that read the twelve apostles as twelve inner lessons, then close on the thesis all twelve were making. Each of the first twelve takes one of the Twelve in the order the Atlas lists them, from the denial and return of Peter through to Judas and a name that arrives ahead of its story, and treats the recorded moment as a discipline rather than a biography. Doubt, obscurity, debt, zeal and performance each get a track. The closing title track drops the apostles and speaks to the listener directly, which is where the album puts its argument: that the kingdom named in the title is not a place to be admitted to but a capacity already held. It belongs to the same line as King of Wands and Sovereign Mind, which is the spine of this catalogue rather than one theme among several.

Unreleased. The concept sequel to Desire to Devotion. Where that record moved from craving to commitment and ended on a union chosen daily, this one is planned as the life-cycle that follows: a devoted couple raising a child from birth to adulthood, devotion extended forward into legacy. Track titles and lyrics are not yet written, so there are no song entries and no correspondences to map. It is listed here as the intended close of the catalogue's longest arc rather than as a finished record, and it will be described on the same terms as everything else once the songs exist.
