All Astrological and Divinatory Texts

Texts whose primary content is a method of divination or astrological calculation rather than ritual magic or mystical doctrine, spanning Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos and Vettius Valens's Anthologiae in the Hellenistic world to Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and Yavanajataka in the Indian tradition, palmistry's La Chirognomonie and the Aztec-Mixtec Codex Borgia Group. The I Ching appears here for its divinatory use as an oracle, distinct from its place among this atlas's Chinese classical texts for its standing as a philosophical classic.
