Antwerp represents Belgium here, a port city whose Jewish community, one of Europe's most significant centres of Orthodox Jewish life and the diamond trade that grew alongside it, sits beside a long Catholic civic history stretching back to its medieval cathedral. What is held here reflects what material is available, not a ranking of Belgian cities by importance.
