This page groups sacred structures by the design tradition their plan follows. Wikipedia notes that "in traditional Christian architecture, the plan view of a church often forms a Christian cross with the centre aisle and seating representing the vertical beam and the bema and altar forming the horizontal." Browsing by architectural style lets a visitor find every structure built to the same plan.
