The Anglo-Saxon calendar is the reckoning of the year among the early English, which this atlas records under the calendar-system value Anglo-Saxon lunisolar, following Bede's reckoning. Wikipedia's article on the early Germanic calendars, of which it was one regional form, says that records of Old English and Old High German month names date to the 8th and 9th centuries, respectively. It is recorded as its own calendar entity so that the holidays and festivals reckoned by it can be grouped and compared in one place, while each holiday entry keeps its own dating facts and sources.
