The American Humanist Association (AHA) is the oldest and largest humanist membership organization in the United States, founded in 1941. It advocates for secular ethics and church-state separation, publishes The Humanist magazine, and certifies Humanist Celebrants for weddings and other life ceremonies. AHA is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
