The Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil is the permanent assembly of the Catholic bishops of Brazil, founded at Rio de Janeiro in October 1952 and now based in Brasília. It coordinates pastoral work across the largest Catholic population in the world, publishes the annual Campanha da Fraternidade, and speaks for the bishops on national questions.
