Gurdwara Sahib Stockton, established in 1912, is recognized as the first gurdwara built in the United States. It serves the Sikh community of California's Central Valley with daily prayers and a langar community kitchen open to all visitors regardless of faith, and hosts an annual Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan celebration each April.
