Gurdwara Singh Sabha of Washington, established in 1993 and expanded in 1997, serves the Sikh community of the greater Seattle area from Renton, Washington. The gurdwara states its aim as empowering the community "through the cultivation of a Sikh spiritual environment," committed to lifelong Sikh education, spiritual growth, and building a welcoming community, and its Nishan Sahib was raised in 1997 to honor those lost during the 1984 Sikh genocide.
