About

Gustavus Adolphus College is a liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in St. Peter, Minnesota, founded in 1862 by Swedish Lutheran immigrants under the leadership of Eric Norelius. Guided by what it describes as its Swedish and Lutheran heritage, the college aims to foster a mature understanding of Christian faith alongside lives of service. The college is named for the seventeenth-century Swedish king Gustav II Adolf.
