Holy Name Cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago and the seat of its archbishop. Completed in 1875 and substantially rebuilt after fire and storm damage in the following decades, the Victorian Gothic cathedral stands on North State Street in the Near North Side.
