The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal service organization founded in 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut, by Father Michael McGivney. It is the world's largest lay Catholic organization, providing charitable service, insurance products for members, and support for parishes and Catholic causes. Its international headquarters, the Knights of Columbus Building, is in New Haven.
