The Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, known as Nishi Betsuin, is a Jodo Shinshu temple in the Little Tokyo district of Los Angeles, founded in 1905. It is a member temple of the Buddhist Churches of America and traces its lineage to the Nishi Hongwanji head temple in Kyoto, Japan. The temple holds Sunday services, dharma school, and cultural and community programs for the Southern California Japanese American Buddhist community.
