Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church, also known as Our Lady of Chaldeans Cathedral, was the first Chaldean Catholic parish established in Michigan, founded in 1948 and serving as the seat of the Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of St. Thomas the Apostle of Detroit in Southfield, Michigan. The Chaldean Catholic Church is an Eastern Catholic church of the East Syriac (Chaldean) Rite in full communion with Rome. Its present church building, in Byzantine Revival style, was completed and consecrated in 1980, and it offers Mass in Chaldean (Aramaic), Arabic, and English.
