The Oakland California Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on a hillside above Oakland, California, with views across San Francisco Bay. Dedicated in 1964, it was designed by architect Harold W. Burton in a modern style distinct from the classical designs used for many earlier temples. It is used for sacred ordinances such as endowments and sealings rather than regular Sunday worship.
