The Supreme Council, 33°, of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, USA, governs Scottish Rite Freemasonry across fifteen northeastern and midwestern states. Its headquarters in Lexington, Massachusetts, is co-located with the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library, which holds one of the largest collections on American Freemasonry and fraternalism. The Northern Jurisdiction is administratively distinct from the Southern Jurisdiction, headquartered at the House of the Temple in Washington, D.C.
