Sri Meenakshi Temple, formally the Sri Meenakshi Devasthanam, is a South Indian Dravidian-style Hindu temple in Brazoria County near Pearland, Texas, dedicated to Meenakshi (an aspect of Parvati) and Sundareswarar (Shiva), with additional shrines to Venkateswara and Lakshmi. The Sri Meenakshi Temple Society was founded in 1977 and the main shrine was consecrated in 1982, making it one of the oldest Hindu temples in the United States. The temple sits on a 23-acre campus modeled on the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, India, and hosts daily pujas, festivals, and cultural programs for the greater Houston Hindu community.
