Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona, tracing its congregation to a mission founded in 1885, three years after the Episcopal Church arrived in Phoenix. The present building, begun in 1915, held its first service on Christmas Day 1920 and stands in the historic Roosevelt neighborhood of downtown Phoenix. The cathedral holds English- and Spanish-language services and describes itself as having "grown up with Phoenix."
