Windsor Village United Methodist Church grew from 25 members in 1982, when Rev. Kirbyjon H. Caldwell became pastor, into one of the largest United Methodist congregations in the United States, with membership exceeding 17,000 at its peak and it is widely cited as the largest Black congregation in the denomination. The church operates the Imani School and has spun off more than a dozen affiliated nonprofit organizations collectively known as The Power Connection. Rev. Suzette Caldwell has served as senior pastor since 2020.
