Zaytuna College, founded in 2009 in Berkeley, California, by Hamza Yusuf, Zaid Shakir, and Hatem Bazian, is a Sunni Muslim liberal arts college offering bachelor's and master's degrees. Its stated mission is to educate morally committed professional, intellectual, and spiritual leaders grounded in the Islamic scholarly tradition alongside the liberal arts. In 2016 it became the first accredited Muslim college in the United States, accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission.
