All Revelation and Scripture

Core tenets that state how a tradition believes it received authoritative religious knowledge and what status that source of knowledge holds. This includes tenets on the divine origin and inerrancy or fallibility of a scripture, the closing or continuation of a prophetic canon, the authority of oral tradition alongside a written text, and claims of ongoing revelation through vision, dream or a living voice. A tenet about who has the authority to interpret an already-accepted revelation, rather than about the revelation's own origin or status, belongs instead under religious authority and succession.
