All The Nature of the Divine

Core tenets that state what the divine is: one god or many, personal or impersonal, immanent or transcendent, with or without form, and how the divine relates to the created world. This includes tenets on monotheism, polytheism, pantheism and nontheism, the attributes ascribed to God or the gods such as omniscience or omnipresence, doctrines such as the Trinity that describe the divine's own internal nature, and tenets distinguishing the divine from created or enlightened beings. A tenet about how the world itself came to exist, rather than about the nature of the divine that may have caused it, belongs instead under a cosmology and creation heading when that heading has members; here it stays only where the tenet's own subject is the divine nature itself.
