Ages that are named as stretches of a larger cosmic or astrological scheme, such as the precessional ages of the zodiac and the long world cycles proposed in Indian, Stoic, Presocratic and Chinese thought. An entry belongs here when its own source presents the age as one named span of cosmic time in a wider cycle. It leaves out the numbered positions of a single repeating cycle, which have their own groups, and ordinary historical periods.
