Hurrian Deities

Kusuh is the Hurrian moon god, one of the pantheon's great pan-Hurrian deities alongside the sun god Simige, with whom he is regularly paired as one of the two great celestial luminaries. His cult was tied to the ancient city of Harran, known in Hurrian religious tradition as Kuzina, a city that remained a major center of moon worship for centuries after the Hurrian period. Like other major Hurrian deities, Kusuh's cult carried into Hittite religion as the two pantheons merged in the second millennium BCE.
