Angatupyry is the personification of good in Guarani mythology, standing opposite Tau, the personification of evil, also recorded on this atlas, in a cosmology that explains much of the world through the ongoing contest between the two. Guarani oral tradition credits this rivalry, carried out largely through Tau's seven monstrous offspring, with shaping the natural and moral order later generations inherited.
