Sue, also transliterated Sua, was the Muisca god of the Sun, important for Muisca agriculture. He and his wife Chia, already recorded in this same wave, followed each other across the sky, meeting in conjunction at the new moon and during solar and lunar eclipses, an image the Muisca read as the perfect union of husband and wife. The Sun Temple built in his honour stood at Suamox, described by later chroniclers as the Rome or Mecca of the Muisca.
