Barbale is a goddess in pre-Christian Georgian mythology associated with the fertility of cattle and poultry, the sun, women's fertility, and healing. She belongs to the wider pantheon of the mountain Georgian peoples alongside the live Armazi and Zaden, whose cults were preserved with particular richness into the twentieth century among the Pshavs, Khevsurs and Svans before being folded into Christian practice elsewhere in Georgia.
