Huehuecoyotl

Aztec Deities

In Aztec mythology, Huehuecoyotl is the auspicious pre-Columbian god of music, dance, mischief and song. He is patron of uninhibited sexuality, with partners described as female or male of any species, and he rules over the day sign Cuetzpallin, or lizard, and the fourth trecena, Xochitl, in the Aztec calendar.
