Arasy is a moon goddess of Guarani mythology. According to one widely told account, Tupa, the supreme creator already recorded on this atlas, descended upon the earth with the help of Arasy to a hill in the region of Aregua, the episode through which Guarani tradition explains the founding of the terrestrial order. She is counted among the major sky-associated figures of Guarani cosmology, alongside Tupa and his opposite number, the evil spirit Tau.
