A hand-painted, frame-by-frame animated short film illustrating the Mongolian wind burial, a funerary rite in which a corpse is carried on a cart until it falls, and the wind is understood to guide the departed soul upward to Tengri, father heaven. The filmmaker's own page describes Tengri as the Turkic word for the holy blue sky and for the primary deity of nature worshipped by Mongolic and Turkic peoples, naming Shamanism and Animism as the spiritual practices the ritual belongs to. Made as Telengut's graduation film at Concordia University's Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, it screened at the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival and was featured by the Asian Film Archive in Singapore.
