All Enchantresses

Female magic-working figures of narrative and legendary tradition, the counterpart this browse structure's existing Wizards heading had not yet been given. Morgan le Fay, King Arthur's half sister in most tellings of Arthurian legend, shifts across the tradition's development from a benevolent healer to one of Arthur's chief adversaries, while the Lady of the Lake gives Arthur his sword and, in some tellings, raises Lancelot from infancy in her underwater realm, with no single fixed identity across the many versions of the legend.
