Gnostic Deities

The divine and quasi-divine figures of Gnosticism, a family of late antique religious movements that read the material world as the flawed product of a lesser power standing between it and a wholly transcendent, unknowable source. Its own term for that lesser craftsman-figure, the Demiurge, comes from the Greek demiourgos, and the same architecture recurs with local variation across the Gnostic, Neoplatonic and related Mandaean traditions.
