Aphroditus, also spelled Aphroditos, was a version of the goddess Aphrodite that originated at Amathus on the island of Cyprus and was later celebrated at Athens. He is the masculine counterpart of Aphrodite, an androgynous form of the same goddess rather than a separate deity.
