Greek Script Family

The Greek alphabet and the writing systems it gave rise to directly: Coptic, Cyrillic, Glagolitic and the Roman alphabet. Belongs here: a script whose letterforms descend from Greek, including the two competing early Slavic alphabets, Glagolitic and Cyrillic. Does not belong here: the Aegean scripts that preceded the Greek alphabet on the same soil, grouped under the Aegean Script Family, and any Brahmic or Semitic-derived script, however widely a Roman-derived orthography now records the same language.
