Chernobyl is a Hasidic dynasty founded by Grand Rabbi Menachem Nachum Twersky, known by his work as the Meor Einayim, and named after the northern Ukrainian city of Chernobyl, where he served as maggid, or communal preacher. Several later rebbes of the dynasty are also named Chernobyl, and its central court today is in Bnei Brak, Israel, headed by Rabbi Menachem Nachum Twersky.
