Hindu Scriptures

The Vedic and classical core of Hindu scripture, the four Vedas, Rig, Sama, Yajur and Atharva, with their Brahmana and Upanishad literature, the Bhagavad Gita, the Puranas and the theistic Agama literatures of Vaishnava and Shaiva worship. A separate Hinduism grouping nearby holds several individual Puranas under a differently labeled heading, an inconsistency in tagging rather than a deliberate second category. Individual Hindu sutras, the Brahma Sutras among them, are filed instead under this atlas's cross-tradition Sutras grouping by genre.
