Ibn Abi'l-Hadid

Izz al-Din Abu Hamid Abd al-Hamid ibn Hibat-Allah ibn Abi al-Hadid al-Mutazili al-Madaini, known as Ibn Abil-Hadid, lived from 30 December 1190 to June 1258 and was a Shii Mutazili Shafii scholar and writer of the Middle Ages. He studied under Abul-Khayr Musaddiq ibn Shabib al-Wasiti, who died in 1208, and is best known for his commentary on the Nahj al-Balagha, titled Sharh Nahj al-Balagha.
