Gathers the archaeological and traditional religious sites of Igbo-speaking southeastern Nigeria: the excavated ritual bronzes and burial complexes that opened the region's deep religious history to modern archaeology, and the towns and shrines Igbo oral tradition itself names as the origin and ritual centre of its own kingship and religious authority. A member belongs here for its place within Igbo traditional religion and its own historical memory, distinct from the Yoruba, Dogon and other West African traditions gathered separately under their own headings.
