Inuit Religion Roles

Roles within Inuit religious life, centred on the angakkuq, the figure who mediates between the community and the spirit world. One of many tradition specific clusters of religious roles, kept apart from the cross traditional roles grouped elsewhere. Inuit cosmology, myth and material culture are catalogued elsewhere in the atlas rather than as religious roles.
