Triangulum Australe

Triangulum Australe is one of the 88 modern constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union. Its genitive form is Trianguli Australis, its standard abbreviation is TrA, it is traditionally shown as the Southern Triangle. It belongs to the Hercules family of constellations and lies in the third quadrant of the southern hemisphere. The constellation covers about 110 square degrees of sky, ranking 83rd in size among the 88. Its brightest star is α TrA (Atria) at apparent magnitude 1.91. It borders Norma, Ara, Circinus and Apus.
