Death Spirits (Mythical Creatures)

Spirits that bring death or oversee the dying, such as the Greek Keres and the Japanese shinigami. An entry belongs here when its article presents a figure that carries off the dying or personifies death. The group page lists related creatures together so that a reader can compare how one kind of being appears across cultures and stories. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
