Founders of new religious movements originating in Korea, Japan, China and Vietnam from the nineteenth century onward, including the founders of Donghak and its successor Cheondoism in Korea, Tenrikyo and Omoto in Japan, Seicho-no-Ie, the modern healing practice of Reiki and its transmission to the West, the Qigong-based Zen Tao movement, the global Falun Gong movement, and the Vietnamese syncretic religions Cao Dai and Hoa Hao.
