Sufi Order (Organizations)

Brotherhoods of Sufi Islam organised around a lineage of masters, such as the Khalwatiyya, Ni'matullahi, Sanusiyya, Shadhiliyya and Suhrawardiyya orders. An entry belongs here when its article describes a tariqa with a chain of teachers. The group page lists organisations of the same kind together so that a reader can compare how religious bodies are formed and governed. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
