West African Pantheons

The divine orders of the peoples of the West African savanna and forest belt, among them the Bambara, Mossi, Senufo, Tallensi, Ewe and Edo, together with the broad regional entry for West African religion. A pantheon belongs here when its cited article describes the gods and spirits of a people living between the Sahel and the Gulf of Guinea. It excludes the pantheons of Central, East and Southern Africa, which sit in their own groups, and the Afro-Caribbean cults that grew from West African religion.
