The ten paramis of Theravada Buddhism, the perfections a bodhisatta must fulfil over countless lives on the path to Buddhahood according to the Buddhavamsa and its commentaries, textually and terminologically distinct from the Sanskrit Mahayana paramitas already gathered under this type's own Paramita Virtues heading. Nekkhamma, renunciation, is the third of the ten, and Adhitthana, resolution or determination, is the ninth, the firmness of purpose that carries a bodhisatta's undertaking through to completion despite obstacles.
