Primordial Earth Monsters (Mythical Creatures)

Monstrous beings of the earth's beginning that heroes or gods defeat to order the world, such as the Aztec Cipactli and the Greek serpent Python. An entry belongs here when its article describes a creature from the first age of the world. The group page lists related creatures together so that a reader can compare how one kind of being appears across cultures and stories. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
