All Recorded Oral Tradition (Incantations, Spells and Curses)

Incantation traditions that lived by word of mouth and were later recorded by collectors, such as the Pennsylvania German Braucherei charms and the conjure practices of Hoodoo. An entry belongs here when its article presents the corpus as a collected oral tradition rather than a single ancient text. The group page lists related spell texts together so that a reader can compare how a tradition recorded and used its charms.
