Ethiopia, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, is the landlocked country in the Horn of Africa in East Africa, bordering Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya, South Sudan and Sudan, with Addis Ababa as its capital. The source notes that the Kingdom of Aksum maintained a unified civilisation in the region for 900 years, that Christianity arrived in that kingdom in 330 AD and Islam gained influence during the first Hijra in 615, and that the Solomonic dynasty asserted a lineage from the biblical Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.
