Krishna Narrative Episodes groups two events recorded in this atlas as episodes from the traditional narrative of Krishna's life, drawn chiefly from the Bhagavata Purana. The Birth of Krishna is described by Wikipedia this way: Krishna was born to Devaki and her husband, Vasudeva, in a prison of Mathura, and when the tyrant Kamsa moved to kill the newborn, all the jailers miraculously fall into a deep sleep and the prison door is opened. The Lifting of Mount Govardhan recounts a later episode of his childhood in Vrindavana: Wikipedia states that Krishna lifts the Govardhana hill to protect the inhabitants of Vrindavana from devastating rains and floods, an act the article calls one of his most celebrated childhood exploits in Hindu tradition. This group node gathers these two episodes under the shared kind-of-event facet; other narrative episodes recorded elsewhere in this atlas are left for their own classification.
