All Restless Dead

The unquiet or improperly buried dead who wander rather than rest, drawn from the Roman lemures, placated in the household festival of the Lemuria. The category covers a general unsettled state after death rather than a specific grievance. Excludes vengeful ghosts, whose unrest has a named cause, and excludes ancestral dead, who are honored rather than feared.
